Athens Airport During The COVID-19 Era

Greece and Europe closed the borders for people outside of Europe and the Schengen zone for a long time but Greece started lifting the traffic ban since June 2020 to boost the economy, travel and tourism industry resulting higher cases every day and facing a second wave with bigger numbers in contrast with the low cases during the first wave. Arriving passengers in the Greek airports are subject to coronavirus test. The world passenger traffic declined during the coronavirus covid-19 pandemic with the industry struggling to survive.
