Protest Against Police Brutality In Tunis

Protesters raise a banner that reads in Arabic, ‘Hay Ettadhamen rebels, the earthquake of neighborhoods’ during a protest march that started in the popular and tough neighborhood of Hay Ettadhamen which is one of the most populated cities in Tunis, and headed towards Bardo city in Tunis, to protest against the police brutality, the marginalization and the economic and social crisis in the country. Protesters had also demanded the release of youths arrested by the police during the latest nightly protests where they had clashed with the security forces. Security forces prevented them from demonstrating in front of the building of the Assembly of the Representatives of the People (ARP) (Tunisian Parliament) in Bardo. Tunisia, January 26, 2021.
