Protest Amid The 8th Anniversary Of The Assassination Of Chokri Belaid In Tunisia

A police roadblock is seen on avenue Mohamed 5 in the capital Tunis while from some meters away demonstrators are rallying in commemoration of the 8th anniversary of the assassination of the leftist opposition politician Chokri Belaid to call uncovering the truth about the assassination of Chokri Belaid. They also protested against police repression and demanded the release of young people arrested by the security forces. Some young protesters called for the decriminalization of Cannabis and soft drugs, and some others called for the fall of the government of the Prime Minister Hichem Mechichi and chanted slogans against Rached Ghannouchi, the president of the Islamist party Ennahda.
