Daily Life During The COVID-19 Pandemic In Ontario

People eating at a shopping mall food court beside a sign advising them that in order to dine-in at the food court proof of vaccination is required during the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on October 23, 2021. All Ontario residents who are 12 and older are required to show proof of vaccination to dine in at restaurants, as well as visit gyms, movies theatres, and other high-risk indoor settings. The Province of Ontario announced a plan to lift all remaining public health restrictions by March, including the mandatory mask order and the vaccine passport system that only took effect last month. Ontario restaurants and gyms will to return to full capacity on October 25th and all other COVID-19 restrictions are slated to end by March 28, 2022. Medical Officer of Health Dr. Kieran Moore told reporters that "By March, we hope we've maximized our immunization strategy in Ontario and that we have more Ontarians immunized to the point that this virus doesn't have a host in which you can reproduce" and [at this point] "we will have to learn to live with this virus".
