Blockade of Crimea
More than 300 T.I.R. trucks are seen parked in line on the BCP Kalanchak as activists starts the blockade of annexed Crimea. Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov initiated the transport blockade of the administrative border of the Kherson region and the Crimea from noon September 20 with the aim to cut off supplies of food and other products from the mainland to the annexed territory. Strategic goal: the returning of the Crimea under the control of the Ukrainian authorities. Mr. Chubarov does not rule out that after the "food blockade" of the annexed Crimea, the Crimean Tatars will seek an end to the supply of electricity to the peninsula.
