Global Climate Strike in Washington, DC
A protester in a strike against climate change by the youth-led organization, Fridays for Future, takes a selfie with a person demonstrating outside the Department of Justice in an unrelated action. She and another person were protesting the Department's inaction in holding Donald Trump accountable and protecting voting rights. This event was one of many held worldwide March 25 by FFF, the global organization begun by Greta Thunberg in 2018. Protesters are demanding policymakers and the private sector take action against the climate crisis and reparations for the ordinary people - primarily in the global south - who have been hurt most by the practices responsible for climate change.
