Demonstrations at Supreme Court over Roe v. Wade, May 4, 2022

As of Tuesday, May 3, the street is closed indefinitely, in anticipation of continuing protests over the possible reversal of Roe v. Wade. On Monday, May 1, Politico reported that the justices voted to overturn Roe v. Wade in a draft opinion for the Dobbs v. JWHO case. Jackson Women’s Health Organization is challenging Mississippi’s ban on abortion after 15 weeks, prior to fetal viability, which has been the standard since the Roe decision.
