Winner of the Tlawanilistle Contest (in Nahuatl, to drink pulque in the shortest time), in Santa Ana Tlacotenco in Milpa Alta, Mexico City, on the occasion of Mexico's Independence Day festivities. Pulque is a traditional drink made from the fermentation of agave or maguey. Its consistency is thick and viscous. Its production and consumption occurs mainly in central Mexican states, such as Tlaxcala, State of Mexico, Hidalgo, Mexico City, Puebla, Morelos, Queretaro, Guanajuato, Guerrero, Michoacan, Oaxaca, San Luis Potosi, Jalisco, and Veracruz.
