Poland: Tax increase for large shops

BYDGOSZCZ, 13 November 2015 - People are seen attending the opening of the Zielony Arkady (Green Arcade), one of Poland’s largest shopping malls on Friday. The recently elected government set up a proposal for shopping spaces larger than 250 square meters to pay additional taxes to protect smaller businesses. In Poland shops part of larger chains often end up paying only around 1 percent tax on their revenue.
