Poland: Tax increase for large shops

People are seen at the opening of the Zielony Arkady mall on Friday, one of Poland's largest shopping malls. The recently elected government set up a proposal for shopping spaces larger than 250 square meters to pay additional taxes to protect smaller businesses. In Poland shops part of larger chains often end up paying only around 1 percent tax on their revenue. (Photo by Jaap Arriens/NurPhoto)
