National March for Iran in Washington, DC

A march for Iran passes the White House in support of protests in Iran, now entering their sixth week. Thousands came from across the country and Canada to participate. Protests in Iran began when 22-year-old Mahsa Amini died in custody of Iran’s morality police September 16, 2022, after being arrested for “improperly” wearing her hijab. Iranian authorities claim she died of a heart attack, an account disputed by her family. The protests represent the most serious threat to the Islamic regime in decades.
