First British astronaut to blast off to the ISS

KAZAKHSTAN Baikonur Cosmodrome -- 14 Dec 2015 -- In this one minute exposure, a meteor (part of the Geminid Meteor Shower) streaks across the sky as the Soyuz TMA-19M spacecraft is rolled out by train to the launch pad to take the British ESA astronaut Tim Peake to the International Space Station on 15 Dec 2015. Tim Peake is the first British astronaut to visit the ISS and will be launched together with commander Yuri Malenchenko and NASA astronaut Tim Kopra. The trio will then spend six months working and living on the International Space Station -- Picture by Joel Kowsky/Atlas Photo Archive/NASA
