Protest In Colombo
Police Fired tear gas and water cannons to disperse the protest on March 7, 2023, in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The police used water and tear gas to disperse the protest held by the Inter University Students' Federation with the slogans of lowering the tax burden, freeing the student prisoners, and reducing the fuel and electricity bills. While this protest march was marching from the Colombo Town Hall through the streets of Colombo, in front of the University of Colombo, the police blocked the road and fired water and tear gas.
