Youth For Climate Took To The Streets In Toulouse
On March 11th, 2023, youth for climate and collectives, NGOs took to the streets of Toulouse, France, to denounce the government's inaction towards the climate crisis, even after the 6th IPCC assessment report. They are emphasizing the rapidly closing window to keep the temperature under +1.5?C, as precised in the IPCC report, and the lack of action against the environmental crisis by governments. The motto this year in Toulouse is against concreting and for islands of freshness in summer in cities. Several collectives such as 'La Voie Est Libre' (against the planned A29 highway between Toulouse and Castres), 'No to the Rivel ZAC', XR, etc. are joining the protest, following the call of Greta Thunberg for a World School Strike and 'Fridays for Future'.
