Youth For Climate Took To The Streets In Toulouse
In Toulouse, France, on March 11th, 2023, a man is tying a sheet reading 'stop concrete' as part of a protest organized by Youth For Climate and other collectives, NGOs, and Greta Thunberg's World School Strike and 'Fridays for Future' movement. The protesters are denouncing the government's inaction towards the climate crisis, even after the 6th IPCC assessment report, which stated that the window to keep the temperature under +1.5?C is rapidly closing. They are also criticizing the lack of action against the environmental crisis by governments. The motto of the protest this year in Toulouse is against concreting and for islands of freshness in summer in cities. Several collectives, such as 'La Voie Est Libre' (against the planned A29 highway between Toulouse and Castres), 'No to the Rivel ZAC', and Extinction Rebellion, are participating in the protest.
