Protest Against Pension Reform In Paris

The secretary general of the CFDT (Confederation Francaise Democratique du Travail), Laurent Berger and the secretary general of the CGT (Confederation Generale du Travail), Philippe Martinez chat face-to-face in an amused manner within the trade union procession during a demonstration to oppose the government's pension reform bill in Paris on 15 March 2023, on the eve of the vote on the bill in the national assembly. The demonstration follows a call for strike action and mobilisation by the eight main trade unions and youth organisations. The French government wants to raise the retirement age from 62 to 64.
