This small reptile has a body color that can vary from brown to copper green, with some individuals featuring a white stripe along their side. Unlike snakes, it lacks movable eyelids. Its habitat spans Georgia, southern Turkmenistan, southern Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, western Azerbaijan, eastern Iran, Iraq, Oman, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Jordan, Syria, the United Arab Emirates, northwestern India, the Caucasus Mountains, the greater Middle East, and Cyprus. A wild Asian snake-eyed skink accidentally entered a house in Tehatta, West Bengal, India, on March 13, 2024.
