Members of the NYPD Crime Scene Unit and NYPD officials secure an Infiniti vehicle and survey the scene where a 23-year-old man is killed after sustaining severe trauma to the body near the 106 precinct in the area of 101 Street and Liberty Boulevard in Ozone Park, Queens, New York, United States, on August 1, 2025. In the evening at approximately 10:42 PM, police respond to an assault in progress in the vicinity of 101 Street and Liberty Boulevard and find a 23-year-old man lying in the street with severe trauma to the body. EMS responds and transports the man to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center where he is pronounced dead. There are no arrests at this time and the investigation remains ongoing. The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending proper family notification.

The driver of a vehicle, employed as a trucker, stabs a person with a screwdriver and is arrested outside of Chit Chat Diner in Hackensack, New Jersey, United States, on July 25, 2025. On July 25, 2025, Hackensack Police Officers respond to the area of Essex St. near Porter Ave outside Chit Chat Diner for a report of a fight in progress. It is determined that a 49-year-old male walks across Porter Ave in front of a vehicle exiting Porter Avenue onto Essex Street, causing the vehicle to stop abruptly. A dispute ensues with the passenger of the vehicle, identified as AGUSTIN FUENTES-SANCHES, after the victim kicks the vehicle. FUENTES-SANCHEZ produces a screwdriver during the dispute and assaults the victim. The victim suffers a minor puncture wound and is transported to a local hospital for treatment. FUENTES-SANCHEZ is placed under arrest without incident, and the screwdriver is recovered as evidence.
