Members of Bound 4 People, a Christian group, break down while praying after the Supreme Court issued its opinion on Dobbs v. JWHO. The opinion reverses the federal right to abortion decided in Roe v. Wade, allowing each state to set its own laws. The legal basis for the decision could be used in the future as precendent to overturn other rights not explicitly stated in the Constitution (e.g., same-sex marriage). With the exception of Thomas, all of the conservative justices in the majority testified under oath in their confirmation hearings that they consider abortion access 'settled law.'

19 May 2022
Protesters hold sheets reading 'Common goods is not equal to private interests' (left) and 'Common goods summit = Greenwashing'. XR France (Extinction Rebellion) and ANV-COP21 organized a die-in to protest against a summit organized by the TSE (Toulouse School of Economics) called 'Common Goods Summit' with the CEO of ExxonMobil Europe, the CEO of AXA France amid others. The theme is about 'green' energy (hydrogen, natural gas) and mitigation of climate change. XR and ANV-COP21 denounce the presence of ExxonMobil (which owns several 'Climate bombs' as defined by the peers- revue Energy Policy) amid others. Energy Policy qualifies as 'Climate bombs', projects which will emit each one more than 1bn tons of warming gasses during their lifespan. The protesters say it's only a 'summit of greenwashing'. Two gentlemen break the shells and recover the almonds collected in the previous days, near the Port of Molfetta, Italy on August 28, 2021. According to the latest estimates, the Apulian almonds due to the hailstorm and the late frosts of 8 and 9 April, even led to an 80% drop in production. In Puglia - adds Coldiretti regional - an area equal to 19,428 hectares (equal to 35.05% of the national area cultivated with almonds) is destined for almond cultivation, which provides on average a total production of 264,670 quintals of almonds, one third of the national total (33%). The tropicalization of the climate with violent and controversial phenomena affecting the countryside - concludes Coldiretti Puglia - has caused 3 billion euros of damage in Puglia in the last 10 years.
