Protest In Toulouse Against The Israeli Onslaught In Gaza And For The Release Of Georges Abdallah
18 June 2025
#12485079
18 June 2025
A woman reacts during the protest. Hundreds of people take to the streets against the Israeli onslaught in Gaza, deemed 'genocide' by the CPI and several NGOs such as Amnesty International, HRW, and PHR. The protesters also demand the release of Georges Ibrahim Abdallah, the oldest prisoner in France, who has already spent 41 years in jail. No humanitarian assistance is delivered to Gaza since March 2, and a global hunger monitor warns that more than a million people face starvation in Gaza. The US-Israel Gaza Humanitarian Foundation distributes aid, but Israeli forces continue to kill Palestinians when they gather to obtain food. More than 59 Palestinians are killed by Israeli fire during the GHF's food distribution. More than 350 Palestinians have been killed during such distributions. The UN and NGOs do not want to participate, calling it a 'weaponization of food'. This takes place in Toulouse, France, on June 17, 2025.

Touluse: Die-in And Gathering Against Deep Cuts In Culture And Public Services
27 March 2025

27 March 2025
A protester lies against a cardboard sign reading 'Toulouse culture budget: EUR28 million for the Capitole, EUR7 million for the rest'. As Macron states that France must adopt a 'war economy', French regions, departments, and city councils make drastic cuts in their budgets. Hundreds of people gather first in front of the town hall of Toulouse, the Capitole, to perform a die-in in red and black before gathering with other sectors behind the town hall. They make drastic cuts in all cultural arts, leisure centers, libraries, community youth clubs, and are laying off people. In Toulouse, some libraries, theaters, and youth community centers will close next year. Students and protesters say that instead of increasing military spending, they should preserve culture and social services from the deepening cuts. In Toulouse, France, on March 27, 2025.
