SMOKY LAKE, CANADA - OCTOBER 7, 2023: The smallest watermelon during the Weigh-Off at the Smoky Lake Great White North Pumpkin Fair 2023, on October 7, 2023, in Smoky Lake, Alberta, Canada. The 33rd annual Great White North Smoky Lake Pumpkin Festival is taking place in Smoky Lake, known as Alberta pumpkin capital. Festival-goers marveled at colossal pumpkins from Alberta and beyond during the epic weigh-off on the third day. Don Crews of Lloydminster secured his champion title with a 2,037.5-pound pumpkin, following his record-setting 2022 victory as the largest pumpkin ever grown in Canada.
