The Peace Palace of the International Court of Justice (ICJ), adorned with Palestinian flags, is seen in The Hague, Netherlands, on April 30, 2024. The top United Nations court, the International Court of Justice ICJ, is currently rejecting Nicaragua's request to prevent Germany from selling weapons to Israel. The judges have voted 15 against 1, refusing the request for an emergency order that would require Germany to stop arms sales to Israel amidst the ongoing conflict with Palestinians in Gaza. ICJ President Nawaf Salam has stated in the ruling that the current circumstances do not necessitate the court's intervention with provisional measures. Meanwhile, a protest in support of Palestine and Nicaragua is taking place outside The Peace Palace.
