LGBT rainbow flags are waved amongst Antifa flags on August 16, 2020 in Warsaw, Poland. Around hundred demonstrators gathered in front of the main entrance of the University of Warsaw to protest against discrimination of LGBT minority in Poland. At the same time a counter-demonstration organized by different nationalists groups took place with around the same number of counter-protesters shouting slogans and burning LGBT flags.

The Disciplinary Chamber of the Supreme Court dismissed the request of the National Prosecutor's Office to waive Igor Tuleya's immunity. Investigators wanted to charge him with failing to fulfill his official duties and exceeding his powers, for what happened on December 18, 2017. US Vice President Mike Pence meets with troops during his visit in Warsaw, Poland on February 13, 2019. Mister Pence is visiting Poland on the occasion of the Middle East summit which has as it's main focus Iran which is deemed as a threat to security in the region. The summit is controversial and many high-level EU representatives and several invitees such as Russian and Lebanon have waved their invitations. The conference, which no other EU country agreed to host comes at a time when Poland is attempting to persuade the US to permanently station troops in the country as a counterweight to continuing Russian hostilities in the region.
