A group of chinelos dance in the streets of the Tláhuac municipality in Mexico City, during a procession on the occasion of the feast of San Pedro and the 800th anniversary of the founding of Cuitláhuac in the capital. According to historical data, Tláhuac was founded in 1222 A.D., near the centre of the ancient Lake Xochimilco. Its first settlers were the Chichimecas.

In that period, the largest imports of soybeans came from the US at 1.92 million tons with a value of 762.3 million US dollars, Canada 190,338 tons with a value of 77 million US dollars. Then from Malaysia as many as 6,342 tons with a value of 3 million US dollars, Argentina with 633 tons with a value of 277,081 US dollars, and France with a value of 120 tons with a value of 73,370 US dollars.
