Environment Canada notes that smoke may cause mild irritation to the eyes, nose, and throat, and may lead to headaches or a mild cough, as well as wheezing, chest pains, or severe cough.

Some protesters want to remind President Macron that the first coalition elected in June in the French Parliament is the New Popular Front. The unions involved include CGT, CFDT, UNSA, FSU, Solidaires, CFE-CGC, and FA-FP. Similar protests take place elsewhere in France.
