A woman is holding a cardboard sign that reads 'You have the blood of future generations on your hands'. Several thousand people are demonstrating in the streets of Toulouse, France, against the controversial A69 highway between Toulouse and Castres. Political parties, unions, and NGOs, including La Voie est Libre, GNSA, CGT, Sud, Greenpeace, XR, LFI, NPA, Amis de la Terre, and FSU, have called for this day of protest. Several MPs from La France Insoumise (France Unbowed) are participating in the protest, along with elected officials from towns along the planned A69 highway route. Before the march began, dozens of cyclists arrived from Castres on their bicycles. The main association 'La Voie est Libre' (The Way is Free), along with other opponents, wants the construction of the highway to be halted until all judicial decisions have been made. Not all expropriations for farmers have been resolved. Opponents argue that reprofiling the N126 would be sufficient for the 6,000 vehicles expected per day and would cost significantly less money. The A69 highway is projected to cost EUR512 million (in 2018 euros, excluding inflation) for 54 kilometers, and its construction would destroy habitats for more than 100 protected species and 400 hectares of agricultural land. The protest is taking place in Toulouse, France, on April 21, 2024.

The pea, or green pea (Pisum sativum), belongs to the Fabaceae family and is one of the major food legumes in the world. It ranks fourth in legume production worldwide after soybean, peanut, and dry bean. Some people also refer to green peas as garden peas, while terms like sweet peas, honey peas, or sugar peas are less accurate; ''sweet pea'' often refers to a completely different type of plant mainly ornamental. Scientifically, the pea plant is a significant member of the plant kingdom. This plant was utilized by Gregor Mendel, the father of genetics, to develop the foundational concepts of inheritance. Green peas are an important part of the diet due to their content of carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins (including vitamin A and vitamin K), minerals, fiber, and other beneficial nutrients. Green peas are now grown worldwide for both human and animal consumption. However, these peas originally came from Southwestern Asian countries like India, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. Green peas are cultivated in fields and produce beautiful pink-purple flowers that bloom in the afternoon in Kaliganj, West Bengal, India, on January 8, 2024.

With the help of modern technology, several quintals of puffed rice are being produced within two-one hours. In addition to supplying the market of the district, the unemployed children of the village are becoming self-sufficient by supplying the puffed rice made by this machine to other districts as well. There was a time when the women of the village used to fry puffed rice and sell them all over the district. They used to fry puffed rice in a large pan in the old tradition. It took a lot of time and effort. Nowadays, with the arrival of modern technology machines, it takes much less time to pack the puffed rice and send it to the market.
