In Krakow, Poland, on August 1, 2025, an ambulance is present during the commemoration of the 81st anniversary of the outbreak of the Warsaw Uprising at the Main Market Square. On August 1, 1944, at 5:00 p.m., the 'W' hour, the Warsaw Uprising begins with the aim of liberating the capital from German occupation before the Red Army enters. The uprising is supposed to last a few days, but it falls only on October 3 after 63 days of fighting. Between 16,000 and 18,000 Home Army soldiers and between 150,000 and 180,000 civilians die, and the city is completely destroyed.
