Protesters demanded the the deadline for ratification by the states (an unusual condition for a proposed amendment) be removed and the ERA ratified, and delivered a petition to Attorney General Merrick Garland, calling on him to take the next step in the ratification process. The ERA would prohibit discrimination on the basis of gender in the US Constitution, meaning it would no longer be subject to judicial review of legislation. The rally marks the second anniversary of Virginia’s ratification of the ERA in 2020, reaching the necessary 38 states for ratification of the Amendment.

One of the survivors of the column that escaped from Srebrenica in 1995 next to a memorial fountain for one of the victims of the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina on July 9, 2020. The Mars Mira (Peace March) is a walk that since 2005 has been organized annually between July 8 and 10 in memory of the victims of the 1995 Srebrenica genocide. During the three days in which the march takes place, the participants walk by road and, above all, by steep mountains, the distance that connects the towns of Nezuk and Potocari, where the Srebrenica Genocide Memorial Cemetery is located.
