Volunteer workers pick up food products in supermarkets in Lisbon, to be delivered to people who are vulnerable due Coronavirus pandemic. Due to the action of COVID-19 and the mandatory quarantine imposed by the government, a part of the Portuguese population represented by elderly people and people without shelter have been visibly affected since, as they represent a risk group, they are limited to be able to carry out their daily activities. The Penha de França Communal Council has implemented a system of technical assistance for these people, collecting food and cleaning products from supermarkets which are then taken to their homes, providing them with food and personal hygiene products.
