The Flying Book is a social project that aims to be an important mechanism for the education and development of urban and rural communities of Nicaragua, through a mobile library service that provides inclusive and alternative information. The library bus makes two visits per month to each rural school and lends books to children and teachers in rural schools to take home, providing the opportunity to access more information within their community and preventing the movement of students to other communities due to a lack of materials available to accomplish tasks and assignments. There are also a number of activities aimed at promoting reading for pleasure, through different themes: environment, care of books, the importance of reading, puppets, plays and Kamishibai etc.It also aims to reach the wider community with the aim of providing information to facilitate individual development and through this resolve family and community issues.

Nepalese kids from Hindu school Bhagwat Sanyaas Aashram Gurukul reading rituals holy book during Janai Purnima festival or Rakchhya Bandhan at Pashupatinath Temple, Kathmandu, Nepal August 18, 2016. During Janai Purnima or Rakchhya Bandhan people from Bhraman and Chhetri community change their “Janai” (a scared thread). Similarly people from other communities get tied a “Doro” (sacred colorful thread) around their wrest. It is assumed that this thread protect people from diseases and misfortune. People from Terai and India also celebrate this festival as Rakchhya Bandhan. Sisters tie attractive Rakhis on their brothers' wrists wishing them healthy and long life.
