A man dressed in a period costume is greeting people in the surroundings of La Casa Botines, a modernist-style building located in Leon, Spain. Originally a commercial warehouse and private residence, it was built and designed by the architect Antoni Gaudi between 1891 and 1892. La Casa Botines is one of only three of Gaudi's works outside of Catalonia and was declared a Historical Monument of Cultural Interest in 1969.

The cutting went ahead heavily protected by police. Thomas Brail wants public authorities to react to the ecological consequences of this highway. He asks for a meeting with Carole Delga, president of the Occitanie region. He's ready to continue his hunger strike until the works stop. The collective 'La Voie est Libre' (ie 'The Way is Free'), opponents and Thomas Brail want the building of the highway to be stopped until all the justice decisions on the content to be given. Supporters and four others climbers stand with him. Dozen of climbers say they will come to support him and his fight for the tress He also says that he's compelled to go on hunger strike for the future of his son. This highway would cost (at date) EUR512millions for 54 kilometers. Opponents at this project say that the reprofiling of the N126 will be suffisant for the 6,000 vehicles planned per day and would cost far less money.
