Mary Sainz, activist and wife of Israel Vallarta, imprisoned for her alleged participation in the crime of kidnapping and exhibited during a television montage on December 9, 2005, demonstrates in the Zócalo of Mexico City during the commemoration of 500 years of the indigenous resistance and Spanish invasion in Mexico, where dancers, musicians, singers, healers and creators of offerings from various traditions of the country, shared their knowledge and honored their ancestors in order to bring citizens closer to reflecting on their history and identity. Since last year, the government authorities in turn renamed the anniversary, known for decades as the fall of Tenochtitlan, and called it the day of indigenous resistance. Marks on the floor were painted to respect the healthy distance in Isabel La Catolica Street on June 30, 2020 in Mexico City, Mexico. Mexico City began the gradual reopening of some commercial activities with staggered work days at 30% of their capacity and with a schedule from 11am to 5 pm to avoid crowded spaces.
