The trail in the rough mountains is part of E4 European long distance path starting from Portugal passing through the Alps and ending in Greek island of Crete meeting the Libyan Sea, part of the Mediterranean. In Creta the climb passes from Agios Nektarios, Asfendou and Kallikratis, there are also some abandoned villages and settlements.
