On November 16, 2025, in Mexico City, Mexico, Metro Line 1 fully reopens as part of the modernization of the Metro system. The line, which runs from Pantitlan to Observatorio stations, undergoes more than three years of renovations. According to Adrian Rubalcava, director of the Metro system, Line 1 has 39 trains, allowing for a 40-minute journey and serving 850,000 passengers daily.

A weather balloon created by Greenpeace volunteers reached the stratosphere, reaching an altitude of 35,000 meters, to deliver a powerful message to the ministers heading to Paris for the Climate Change Summit: "Save the Climate." The balloon, launched from Serino (Av), completed a 2-hour and 40-minute flight before landing in Stornarella (Fg) on December 6, 2015.

On August 25, 2024, the XLI Mexico City Marathon TELCEL takes place in Mexico City, Mexico, where more than 40,000 people run through the most emblematic streets of the capital to complete the 42 kilometers of the competition. Ciudad Universitaria serves as the starting point for the runners, who finish at the Zocalo of the capital. In the men's category, the winners are Edwin Kiprop Kiptoo with a time of 2 hours, 10 minutes, and 36 seconds; Leonard Langat with a time of 2 hours, 11 minutes, and 30 seconds; and Francis Cheruiyot with a time of 2 hours, 11 minutes, and 35 seconds. All are from Kenya. The winner in the women's elite category is Kenya's Fancy Chemutai, with an official time of 2 hours, 29 minutes, and 20 seconds. In second place is Shitaye Eshete of Bahrain, and in third place is Janet Ruguru, also of Kenya.
