A copy of the Muslim's holy book, the Koran, is being placed next to a portrait of the late Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, who died in a helicopter crash, during a religious gathering in southern Tehran, Iran, on May 23, 2024. The helicopter carrying President Ebrahim Raisi is crashing on Sunday, May 19, in Dizmar forest between the cities of Varzaqan and Jolfa in East Azarbaijan province as the president is returning from an event to inaugurate a dam with Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev.
