Officers who are members of the COVID-19 Task Force stop car drivers during an operation to justify health protocol control on one of the roads in Palu, Central Sulawesi Province, Indonesia on August 12, 2021. The local government has increased the intensity of the operation to justify health protocol control following the continued increase in cases of COVID-19 19 in the area after the extension of restrictions on community activities until August 23. The restrictions were implemented after thousands of its citizens tested positive for COVID-19. The restrictions include the use of public spaces, operating hours of shopping centers, food stalls, restaurants, offices, recreation areas, prohibitions on holding wedding receptions, gatherings, and the imposition of a curfew. Residents found violating the regulation will be punished in the form of administrative fines or social sanctions.

Officers who are members of the COVID-19 Task Force supervise passing motorists during an operation to control health protocols on a road in Palu, Central Sulawesi Province, Indonesia on August 12, 2021. The local government has increased the intensity of operations to justify health protocol control following the continued increase in cases of COVID -19 in the area after the extension of restrictions on community activities until August 23. The restrictions were implemented after thousands of its citizens tested positive for COVID-19. The restrictions include the use of public spaces, operating hours of shopping centers, food stalls, restaurants, offices, recreation areas, prohibitions on holding wedding receptions, gatherings, and the imposition of a curfew.
