The local government has increased the intensity of operations to justify health protocol enforcement following COVID-19 cases continue to increase in the region after the extension of restrictions on community activities until August 23. The restrictions were implemented after thousands of its citizens tested positive for COVID-19. The restrictions include the use of public spaces, operating hours of shopping centers, food stalls, restaurants, offices, recreation areas, prohibitions on holding wedding receptions, gatherings, and the imposition of a curfew. Residents found violating the regulation will be punished in the form of administrative fines or social sanctions. (Photo by Basri Marzuki/NurPhoto)
