The second feast, referred to as the 'external' feast, occurs on the third Sunday in October, set on that date by decree of the Episcopal Curia in 1733 to allow the rural population to complete activities related to the wine campaign. The external feast is based on the event of the procession, the traditional 'intorciata,' with its forms of 'direct worship' and the characteristic gait of the faithful, provided with large candles, barefoot
