Golden deer on both sides of the Dharma-wheel (Dharmachakra) adorn the roof of the Lakhan Monastery in Kathmandu, Nepal. In the Tibetan tradition a monastery which holds the Kangyur and Tengyur collections of texts would have this symbol of deer on both sides of the Dharma-wheel on the roof.

Kumari, who appears in public only thirteen times in a year on special occasions, is worshipped by both the Hindus and Buddhists as a living goddess and it is also believed that she is the protector from evil and the bestower of good luck and prosperity.

On 3 March 2015, Turkish Airlines Flight 726 departed the runway on landing at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, Nepal. The Airbus A330-300 operating the flight, TC-JOC, was severely damaged when its nose gear collapsed, causing damage to the fuselage and both wings. All 227 passengers and 11 crew members on board escaped uninjured. Now the airplane is repaired in Kathmandu airport and the logo is removed.
