Computer whiz Carlo Acutis, who dies of leukemia in 2006 at age 15, is raised to sainthood by Pope Leo XIV in a solemn ceremony in St. Peter's Square at the Vatican. Italian Pier Giorgio Frassati, a mountaineering enthusiast who dies in 1925 and is known for his social and spiritual commitment, is also made a saint on September 7, 2025.

Former King Gyanendra Shaha receives a warm welcome from local people during the unveiling ceremony of a statue dedicated to his late father, King Birendra Shaha. Over a thousand people gather to greet the former king. Now politically active, Gyanendra's return to public life comes after a tumultuous period. In 2006, mass protests involving hundreds of thousands of people force him to relinquish his power to parliament. Two years later, the parliament votes to abolish the monarchy, and Gyanendra leaves the Royal Palace to live as a common citizen.
