Even though taxi drivers are required by law to have one the units in their taxi’s already three out of four producers of on board computers have gone out of business. Producers blame bad government policies and late payments from clients. Currently many taxi drivers are unable to update their on board units and so are not using them all the while running the risk of receiving a hefty fine if caught by police.

Many taxi drivers are complaining about issues with mandatory on board computers. The on board units store the data from the taxi meters for tax purposes. Currently only one producer of these units still exists. Three out of four producers went out of business after failures following negligent implementation of the project by the government.
