Veteran Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt (in black goggles and a garland of Rudrakshya) exits from the Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu, Nepal, on January 9, 2026, after offering prayers. Dutt performs special rituals at the temple. He arrives in Kathmandu from Dubai a day earlier aboard a private jet. During his two-day visit to Nepal, Dutt inaugurates the Badshah Casino, recently brought into operation by Hotel Barahi. Following his arrival in Kathmandu, several Nepali artists take photographs with the Bollywood star.

Silver necklace with rudraksh (rudraksha) beads to be used in prayers during the Theertham Thiruvizha Festival at a Tamil Hindu Temple in Ontario, Canada. As part of the prayers during this festival Tamil Hindu priests perform a homa (homam) sacred fire ceremony. During the homa religious offerings are cast into fire. At the conclusion of the homa a small idol of Lord Ganesh is placed on the head of one of the Hindu priests who carries it to the inner sanctum of the temple. This festival takes place on the 15th day of the Ganesh Festival, the day after the extravagant chariot procession.
