Hostage situation reported in Union City, New Jersey, United States on July 23, 2023. At approximately 5:30 PM, Sunday evening a hostage situation was reported. It was reported that there was one person holding another hostage in a residence. Around 7:30 PM, the situation was under control and an all clear was given. One female was seen being transported to an undisclosed location by EMS. The Union County Regional SWAT Team responded to the scene.
