Figures of Hindu deities adorn the Nainativu Nagapooshani Amman Hindu Temple located on Nainativu Island in the Jaffna region of Sri Lanka. This ancient temple is a significant symbol for the Tamil people and is dedicated to Parvati who is known as Nagapooshani or Bhuvaneswari and her consort, Shiva who is named here as Nayinaar. The tallest of the temple gateway towers is the Raja Raja Gopuram tower measuring at 108 feet high and is the largest of its kind in Sri Lanka.

Figure of Lord Vishnu resting on Ananta-Shesha (Sheshnaag) while his wife Lakshmi massaging his feet in the Sri Muthumariamman Thevasthanam (Sri Muthumariamman Hindu Temple) in Matale, Sri Lanka. This temple is dedicated to Goddess Sri Muthumariamman, the goddess of rain and fertility. The Temple dates was built in the year 1874. One of the most impressive features of this temple is the 55 m (180 ft) high Gopuram (Raja Koburum), a large decorated tower located above the main northern gateway (Vadakku Veli Veedi) to the temple. The Raja Koburum is one of the tallest Gopurams in Sri Lanka and is adorned with 1008 statues of Hindu deities.
