The grooms and one of the brides come from the capital city, Skopje, but can trace their roots back to the little mountain village. Hundreds of people gathered at the annual wedding festival to witness, for the first time, a double wedding. The festival is a chance for the decedents of villagers to reenact folk wedding traditions in this depopulated region.
