Wedding Festival Galichnik

Galichnik, Macedonia-- A priests performs marriage rites in the village of Galichnik, Macedonia. From left, Stefan Kukovski and his bride, Margarita Ivanovska and Ivan Sarievski and Ana Gareska all come from the capital city, Skopje, but can trace their roots back to the little mountain village. Hundreds of people gathered at the annual wedding festival to witness, for the first time, a double wedding. The festival is a chance for the decedents of villagers to reenact folk wedding traditions in this depopulated region.
