Three convicted dealers in Sumatran tiger skins (Panthera tigris sumatrae) were seen before the end of the trial which sentenced the three convicts to two years in prison and a fine of ten million rupiah. Witnessed February 2, 2016 at the District Court in Medan, North Sumatra, Indonesia on. Previously, the prosecutor demanded that the three suspects be jailed for 2.5 years and fined 10 million rupiah for the case of trade in protected wildlife, namely selling a set of tiger skins. The panel of judges also stated that the evidence would be destroyed.

Officers showed evidence of the crime of trade in protected wildlife, in the form of two baby Sumatran tiger (Panthera tigris sumatrae) carcasses in a cold box at the Rapid Reaction Forest Police Unit in Deliserdang, North Sumatra, Indonesia on June 03, 2008. Local Natural Resources Conservation Agency officials explained that two suspected perpetrators of illegal trade, namely DH (34) and S (42) admitted that they would sell two Sumatran tigers to a collector and also a businessman in Medan for 15 million rupiah. Meanwhile, the evidence came from their colleagues in the North Aceh region, Aceh, Indonesia.
