Students (Santri) of Ar-Raudhatul Hasanah Islamic Boarding School rush to perform the Dhuhr prayer before participating in a mass Quranic recitation (Tadarus) and the distribution of zakat dates in Medan, North Sumatra, on February 21, 2026. According to the Deputy Director of the school, Carles Ginting, through the Student Counseling Division led by Ustadz Azmi Rauf Hasibuan, approximately 3,400 male and female students engage in Ramadan 1447 Hijriah activities. These activities include prayers and the distribution of Tunisian dates by the Raudhatul Hasanah Zakat Management Unit (UPZ), sourced from donors and parents to support the students' spiritual activities throughout the holy month until the Eid Al-Fitr celebration.

At least 300 families in Dohar, Srinagor, Lohajang upzila have been lost their houses, mosque to the Padma River this year due to erosion. Heavy monsoon rain and water from upstream are causing the erosion. Every year in Bangladesh, many people lost their own homeland, house, crop fields as the river erosion. A 2013 study by the Refugee and Migratory Movements Research Unit at the University of Dhaka and the UK-based Sussex Centre for Migration Research estimated that riverbank erosion displaces 50,000 to 200,000 people in Bangladesh every year.
