Muhi al-Din Muhammad, commonly known by the title Aurangzeb and also by his regnal name Alamgir, is the sixth Mughal emperor, reigning from 1658 until his death in 1707. After Indian independence, British Indian coins were in use as a frozen currency until India became a republic in 1950. The first rupee coins of the Republic of India were minted in 1950. On the right side, the back side of British India Coins 1947 George VI was the last British Minted One Rupee with Bengal tiger (panthera tigris) animal with face value written in English, Hindi, and Urdu, year, and country. On the left side, the back side of the first '1950 One Rupee' coin' Minted by the Republic of India after Independence from British Raj with "Lion Capital, Ashokan Pillar at Sarnath". The Lion Capital of Ashoka is the capital, or head, of a column erected by the Mauryan emperor Ashoka in Sarnath, India, c. 250 BCE. Its crowning features are four life-sized lions set back to back on a drum-shaped abacus. This rare-vintage-Historic coins photo was taken at Tehatta, West Bengal; India on 29/07/2023.
