An Iranian-American reenacts the treatment of Khodanur Lajai by Iran's Islamic regime at a memorial to protesters killed in 2019 and 2022 at the US Capitol. Authorities handcuffed Lajai to a flagpole and responded to his request for water by putting a cup just beyond his reach. Reenacting his experience has become a frequent form of protest since he was shot and killed in September, 2022.

Two policemen observe the tuvos in which the activists have their hands chained to each other. The action taken is to demand that the Citizen Assembly for the Climate, announced by the minister for the ecological transition, have a real decision-making mandate. The action has cut traffic on the Paseo del Prado towards Atocha, one of the city's arteries, in Madrid, on March 26, 2021.
